Choose your trip in Martinique

How to choose your trip to Martinique?

Martinique can be comfortably explored in one to two weeks. Plan for 8 days to combine the Caribbean coast (Saint-Pierre, Anses-d'Arlet, Diamant) with a trip to Pelée and the Caravelle peninsula. To include the Trace des Jésuites hike, the Falaise gorges and the southern beaches, a 10 to 12-day itinerary is more comfortable. Our 8 to 12-day trips are the most suitable format for the island's geographical layout. We typically start from the south to finish in the north, which is more humid and lush.

Different types of trips

According to your preferences, we design trips around three themes. Beach and island trips combine the southern coves, the white-sand bottoms of François and an excursion to the islets of Robert. Nature itineraries feature the ascent of Pelée, the tropical forest of the north and the mangrove of Trois-Îlets. Finally, gastronomy and art of living tours take you to HSE, Neisson and Depaz distilleries, and to meet Creole chefs in Case-Pilote and Marin.

What is the best season?

The dry season, locally called carême, runs from December to April. Temperatures range between 24 and 30 °C, the trade winds cool the coasts and hiking trails remain accessible. This is the peak period to combine hiking and swimming. From June to November, the rainy season brings short but sustained showers and cyclone risk from August to October. May and November offer a good compromise, with significantly lower visitor numbers and reduced rates.
